A personal mission 10 years in the making
Pete’s lifelong bond with dogs started when he was just ten years old, after his mum adopted their first rescue, Arnie. But it was in 2016 that his journey truly began — when he rescued Eric, a French bulldog, from Dogs Trust in Basildon. Later came Peggy, a one-eyed Frenchie who’s become a regular star on his Instagram.
“I’ve wanted to do this show for over a decade,” Pete revealed. “People see the tattoos and the reality TV stuff, but this is who I really am. I don’t care about glitz and gossip — I care about giving these dogs a voice.”

While filming, Pete was reportedly moved to tears on multiple occasions. One crew member shared:
