Emmerdale Star James Moore’s Heartfelt Mission to Honour His Late Father — A Journey of Courage, Grief, and Hope ππ️
For fans of Emmerdale, James Moore is a familiar face as Ryan Stocks, Charity Dingle’s long-lost son who has tackled some of the soap’s most intense storylines since 2018. But away from the cameras, James is taking on a deeply personal and inspiring mission to honour his late father, Stephen Moore, and raise vital awareness for Myeloma UK.
“My dad was an amazing father, a loving husband, and a doting grandfather,” James shared. “Even in the toughest moments, he was thinking about everyone else before himself. I want to honour his life and the legacy of his kindness.”
Slated for October 25, the climb will see James joined by a small group of family and friends, working together to reach the top in a single day. The goal? To raise crucial funds for Myeloma UK, supporting the 33,000 people in the UK currently living with this condition and their families.
“You need concentration, strategy, and persistence in bouldering — it’s mentally and physically challenging,” he explained. “This climb is about raising awareness, honouring my dad, and supporting families going through what we went through. I want to show that even in grief, you can find purpose and make a difference.”
“What I’d really love is to see a cure for myeloma,” James said. “We owe it to families and patients to keep raising awareness and funding research. Every bit of support counts.”
Through courage, dedication, and an unbreakable bond with his father, James Moore is turning personal loss into a powerful mission — proving that even in the face of heartbreak, we can rise, inspire, and change lives.
